Hello my friends,
This month I am very happy to have interviewed an amazing person, Mina Pelazzi, the FACE OF MOOLTO and Co-Owner & Founder of QUEENS fashion store and of course resident of the Costa Rica Sims. She is being honored at this month's The Influentials party, an event that we have every last Sunday of month at 12 noon SLT.
Hello Mina! It is an honor for me to get a little chance to talk to you. Please tell me a little about yourself. Where are you from? What's your educational background?
Thank you Liane. I am from Turkey, Istanbul. A Journalism and Public Relation, and NLP master Trainer ( Neuro Lingiustic Programing) I have been working in rl as marketing and advertising expert, NLP Master trainer, CEO and managment consultant and also i am graphic designer.
Wow that is quite a resume! What does fashion mean to you?
Good question! For me fashion has two definitions. Fashion makes people happy and makes them feel beautiful. Second it is a business for me, to be able to create a line of clothes where people feel good, beautiful and sexy while wearing them is quiet an amazing feeling as a designer.
When did you realize you wanted work with fashion in Second Life?
I have been in Second Life® from July 2009 and always wanted to use my rl skills, that is why I started as a photographer and later on it seemed like the right direction to learn how to design sl fashion.
What are some of your accomplishments as model?
Hmm that is a tough question. One must be becoming the face of Moolto. Also I am a perfectionist and try to look my best always. Since I am also a photographer I know what angles look the best, good thing about SL is that you can always edit yourself. Frankly I am as serious and strong woman, I just focus on my job as a model but I will never feel superior to others by saying, Oh I am the one, the best or the most unique... There are always things to learn.
Mina, tell me how did you become the Face of Moolto?
That was really long contest. It took three and a half months. First we got interviewed by Maxes Loon owner of Moolto. Then we had to answer some questions to a panel of judges and finally we had to present three projects. I worked my head off and the first project I presented was a video named " Avatar evolution with Moolto" and 2 more projects called "SL guide with Moolto". So as you can see this was more than just your average beauty contest. We didn't need any modeling skills. Just needed good marketing and PR skills since that is what they were looking for... Bottom line I just wanted the chance to work with Moolto and I got it! Yay!
For those who doesn't know what Moolto is can you please explain a bit?
Moolto is social network for Second Life avatars just like Facebook but only for Second Life Residents! Moolto is also the biggest marketing arena outside of Second Life but again for residents. In one year we got 8,500 members, more than 30,000 visitors per month and 300,000 page views per month. It gives you the opportunity to stay in touch with your Second Life friends even when you are not in-world. It also provides huge marketing opportunities for Second Life business. It is considered the most powerful advertising platform for Second Life residents but it is also a great place to meet different people. You can meet new friends who have interests like you and at the same time you can improve your business. You can showcase your work like art, photos, share your videos, enter contests like the Costa Rica Sims Natural Wonders photo contests. The opportunities Moolto offer are countless. We keep adding new friends every day and as a company we keep growing. It is important to mention that anyone can join Moolto for free. You don't need to download any special program or viewer. This allows you to visit Moolto from anywhere like your home, work, cell phone or even while vacationing somewhere in the world. You can complete your Second Life with Moolto. :)
Wow that is really cool! Now let me ask you who are some of your favorite designers?
Wow so many but my all time favorites are: Mami Jewel , Squinternet Larnia - Donna Flora, Kimmera Madison.
What are some of your favorite clothing stores/catalogs/websites?
Well of course my brand Queens comes first. LOL! But also Azul, Donna Flora, Dela, Tres Beau only on Moolto all the days.
What advice do you have for aspiring fashion models?
First educate yourself on how the world of Second Life fashion works, then train with the best, always work hard, and leave the ego and diva attitude at home!

How would you define your personal style?
Classy, simple but elegant and with a touch of mystery.
What are some of your fashion goals?
My goals in the world of Second Life fashion are many. First I want to help making the Queens brand one of the most visible and known fashion brands in SL. I want people to be able to recognize the brand by just seeing a dress on an avatar. I also want to continue as a fashion photographer and become of the top models in SL.

Mina I cannot thank you enough for taking time out of your busy scheduled to chat with me. It has been a huge honor!
The honor has been all mine. Thank you so much for this opportunity and I hope to see you and all other Costa Rica Sims neighbors and friends at the party this Sunday!
So there you have it! Another amazing woman that has contributed to the world of Second Life Fashion. Let us all pay tribute to her talent this coming Sunday, June 26th at 12 noon SLT as one of The Influentials! Stay tuned to see who will be the next Influential for next month!
