"Well the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. And since we've no place to go... let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"

Well the weather may have been frightful in some parts of the world as I've been hearing about the snow and storms everywhere. This didn't touch our corner of heaven in Costa Rica.
Christmas brings out the best in all of us and no place is that better seen than here at Costa Rica. The Annual Winter Ball held by the Executive Team where we pay tribute to you, the residents.
The Opera House was transformed into a delightful winter wonderland with excellent attention to detail. The charming exterior enhanced by the North Pole sign, nuzzling reindeer and a sled pulled by horses perfect for picture taking.
The black tie event saw many of the residents dressed to the nines and dancing away to the enchanting sounds of Second Life entertainer Coda Cazalet. Wonderful jazz standards and Christmas songs filled the halls as everyone cheered.
It was such a pleasure to see so many residents, and get the chance to meet others I hadn't yet. My neighbor, Solitaire Bamaisin, Trudy Takacs, Evad Slade, diacentra Edenbaum in a truly stunning gown, Mr. Costa Rica Bjorn Delphi, Samantha Ohrberg, Former Ms. Costa Rica Maxie Daviau, Georgianna Blackburn, Shelby Robbiani, DJ Azufr3 Catteneo, Tekillya Mode, Docka Denja, briawinde Magic and so many more.
I did crash about three times and Millie was playing crash tag as well as a few others. It's not a good party unless you crash though! It did finally settle and everyone joined in the festivities.
CR Resident Concierge Jimi Xi thought it would be nice to lead everyone in a rousing game of chase our own tails with the infamous SL attachment "Onigokko". That of course led to "Thriller" to finish with the hip thrusting "Call On Me".
After Coda's set, our own Jac Mornington was kind enough to drop another stream of festive music to keep the party flowing. Despite the teasing of clothing being optional in an hour, I'm happy to report everyone stayed dressed.
Finally pixel toes did tire and well wishes for a safe holiday were exchanged by all. Jimi, Millie, Tempest and myself stayed to snag a few photos with the stage struck teddy bear.
After all was said and done, Jimi declared Skkye Nightfire and genkisudo Karu the official winners of the "Last Residents Standing" prize. I don't know exactly what the prize was... but I'm afraid to ask him so we'll just leave that. xD
I've posted all the photos I could grab in between crashing to the Flickr site. I tried to grab everyone. If you see yourself, please let me know and I'll be more than happy to add it to the description.
It was such a wonderful party and everyone was jolly and merry. I want to give thanks to all the residents that did make it. You all looked amazing. Big thanks to Giancarlo Takacs, Fly Littlebird, Alexia Speizer, Jimi Xi, Millie Gears and the whole Executive team, as well as "Saxy Lady" Coda Cazalet.
To all the residents of Costa Rica, we wish you a safe and happy Christmas!
