Costa Rica Designers Showcase: The Best Of 2009... What do you get when you put some of Costa Rica Sims' top designers, their top selling fashions of the year and fashion icons such as Payton Heron and the other gorgeous models of CR productions in the fashion event of the season?  Why, you get Costa Rica Sims Best in Fashion 2009!

 

With the beautiful lines of shops such as DCNY, Nardcotix, Bliss Couture, Blacklace and Vitamen, amongst others showing off their top sellers of 2009, how could we go wrong?  It was truly an event not to have been missed. With styles for women and men shown, residents were treated to the best Costa Rica designers had on offer for 2009.

 

Starting the show with true class and style, Payton Heron modeled an exquisite gown by Aleida, designer Aleida Rhode, called La Memoire in Red. Classy, yes with some sex appeal thrown in. Dazzling in a vibrant red that would even make Scarlett O'Hara blush, with fur trim along the neckline.

 

 

Baiastice, by Sissy Pessoa, made the labels presence known with this couture LBD, BlackAndrea, modeled by Florentine Rau. Made of satiny fabric and clinging to the curves courtesy of the sculpted prim waist. A tantazling display of femininity topped with a jaunty avant-garde hat.

 

 

Blacklace and Alphamale set the runway on fire, if you go by Jimi Xi anyway ;). Imani Enzo modeled Blacklace Jade Fuschia Embroidery Cincher lingerie set. Raising all the temperatures in the room, it comes complete with satin three-quarter gloves and emerald colored jewel set. It's going to be a hot Christmas.

 

 

Taking stage for the men was Donald Feld wearing Checkered shirt in black, paired with Formal Pants II from Alphamale by Yelmer Pfeffer. Suffice to say the heat in the room turned up a notch with this exceptional display of manhood dressed to impress. A highly detailed shirt featuring subtle black checks against a smoke colored background complete with cuffed sleeves and epaulette shoulder tabs. The formal pants added just the right finishing touch to this set, pulling it all together nicely.

 

 

Continuing along the line for men's fashion, as I'm thrilled with the direction designers are taking in SL, Chantkare's Homme outfit, worn by Phillip Dollinger was a total crowd pleaser. Ever since being privileged to know Appolonia Criss when she first started, I'm so pleased she's turning her exceptional skills to menswear. The Leather Jet ensemble will certainly set you apart. The jacket will astound you with its detail, giving the appearance of leather made of butter, coupled with a rust colored shirt and silky yellow scarf. Do take your hint from Phillip and top this with a sleek felt hat. *raises his champagne glass to Apple* Cheers love.

 

 

Truly there was so much to see and my fingers will bleed if I do a deep down analysis of every style shown. However, not to fear. I managed to snap picks of every single outfit as well as some of the after party. If you missed this mega gala show, I strongly urge you to see the Flickr and get your bums down to Costa Rica Shopping center. It's almost Christmas boys and girls and I'm certain that you will find exactly what you want for that special someone from this exceptional selection of designers.

After the tantalizing runway show, DJ Azu tore up the after party with his signature sounds with famous faces like Anessa Stine, Diceyy Arabello, Boston Westland, Costa Rica Resident Concierge Jimi Xi and innumerable others helping celebrate an exciting season of fashion in Costa Rica Sims!
