New Members Of The Executive Team

Today, I am pleased to announce that two more residents join our Executive Team. Millie Gears and Jimi Xi will lead the Resident Concierge department. Their job is to make sure that all our residents are looked after and have everything they need to enjoy their experience here in the Costa Rica Sims to the fullest.

Residents may have questions about land, the sims, what is/isn't allowed, terraforming, etc... MIllie and Jimi will be our main point of contact for answering those questions. Please never hesitate to IM them, and if they cannot provide the answer to a question they will find another member of the Executive team who can!

Millie and Jimi will also offer fantastic guided tours which will show you all what our estate has to offer. These tours are designed to make you feel as if you were talking a vacation in real life Costa Rica. Many of you are aware of my dedication to different environmental causes and when the idea of creating a virtual Costa Rica was born, one of my main objectives was to show others the importance of living in harmony with nature. This was the main reason why we incorporated the National Parks found in RL Costa Rica here, so others would learn about the environment while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Here is an example about what you will see and learn while talking one of our guided tours:

Volcan Tenorio National Park - The Rainforest

One of the most biologically diverse countries in the world, Costa Rica boasts only 0.01% of the earth's total land mass. It contains 5% of the world's biodiversity. Around 25% of the country's land area is in protected national parks and protected areas, the largest percentage of protected areas in the world. Here you will learn about how we can all make a difference helping protect our beautiful planet.

Palo Verde National Park - Bird Sanctuary

Costa Rica has over 850 species of birds. This is greater than the United States and Canada combined. This is quite amazing if you consider Costa Rica is smaller than the state of West Virginia or a little bit larger than the Netherlands. Take the water safari around this amazing area and learn about the importance of the tropical dry forests to our world.

Las Baulas National Park

Las Baulas de Guanacaste National Park is another of Costa Rica’s important sea turtle nesting sites. This national park is a significant Leatherback Sea Turtle nesting spot in the world. Created in 1990, this national park was made in order to protect the endangered Leatherback Turtles, which come every year to nest on the shores of the beautiful Playa Grande. This area also offers great surfing and outdoor dining at La Tortuga Feliz Beach Cafe.

Manuel Antonio National Park

Manuel Antonio contains a charming combination of rainforest, beaches and coral reefs. These beaches are some of the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forest, and the snorkeling is excellent too. This beautiful area is also home to our clothing optional beach, a perfect location for those who “dare to be bare” and our romantic yacht where residents can dance the night away under the stars.

Marino Ballena National Park

For thousands of years "humpback" whales (named for their way their backs arch on the surface of the water before diving) visit the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.  This oceanic event happens nowhere else on the planet. The Humpback Whales migrate from 2 different hemispheres, to the same place, to mate and have their babies. Pamper yourself by visiting this magical area and listen to the beautiful whale songs.

We are working on 3 more tours that we will launch next year. For now, let our Resident Concierge team show you another side of the land you call home in Second Life®.

Love & Light,

Gian
