Hola Mis Amigos,

With the holidays just around the corner, it is that time of the year again, when you are thankful for everything merry and bright. This is the 3rd holiday season our beautiful estate celebrates, and I am really thrilled to be able to share it with all of you.

Let’s now recap everything that happened around our wonderful estate this past month shall we?

New Executive Team Members

Tempest Hennesy and Takeshi Kiama joined our team as our new estate bloggers. Many of you know by now, that our dear friend and previous estate blogger, Mr. Phantom Republic, is gone from Second Life®. He will be truly missed. Not only was he fantastic in what he did, but he was someone I was proud to call my friend.

Now, a little info about our new Executives. This power couple is a well known and respected duo in the fashion world, having been residents of the Costa Rica Sims since April 2009. They are top models, bloggers, magazine editors and have an immense taste for fashion.

They will join forces to blog about estate events such as our monthly fashion show, different parties, and new designers coming to our commercial district plus their new releases.

1 new country

In November, we added a resident from Macedonia. With this country added, the Costa Rica Sims Estate is now home to residents from 49 countries in 6 continents around the world.

Land Sales

In the month of November, we saw an increase of sales compared to the previous month and today the estate is at 98.3% occupancy.

Regions Added

November was a great month! We added 3 new regions in total to our estate. In the first 2 weeks of November, we added two homestead regions: Bahia Potrero and Playa Savegre. These two regions were sold in a matter of hours.

Just last week we added a new full region, Playa Matapalo, and today this region is 99% sold.

Amenities

Parque Nacional Marino Ballena

We have made a few changes to this National Park. Now residents and friends are able to spend some quality time at this glorious location.  For those of you who are not familiar with this area in real life Costa Rica, let me tell you a little bit about it.

Marino Ballena National Park is named after the Humpback Whales that migrate to this area each year. Costa Rica has the longest season of humpback whales migrations in the world. This is because Costa Rica has Whale Migrations, from both North and South America.  In August, September, and October, Southern Hemisphere humpbacks are found here, and December, January, February, March and April, Northern Hemisphere whales. This oceanic event happens nowhere else on the planet.  The Humpback Whales migrate from 2 different hemispheres to the same place to mate and have their babies. The Southern Humpback Whales come from as far as the Antarctica, 11,500 miles away!  It is one of the longest migrations, known to mankind. 

The Marino Ballena National Park was created on February 6th 1989. This marine park was the first in Latin America with 110 hectares of land and the 5,375 hectares of ocean. It was created to protect the various coastal marine habitats, the beaches, estuaries, mangrove swamps, islands, coral reefs and also to protect the marine endangered species like the humpbacks.

If you want a place where you can feel at ease, make sure to visit this area, and listen to the beautiful whale songs.

Costa Rica Designers Showcase: Cheerno

Another Fabulous show presented by the Costa Rica Sims Productions! CheerNo is a designer like no other. He is in a league of his own and perhaps the most avant-garde male designer Second Life® has ever known.

He is also one of my oldest friends here in SL™ and has always been very supportive of our estate. I want to wish CheerNo and his team continued success.

I also want to thank Costa Rica Sims Production, our Director, Mr. Clyde Saunders, and our models, Allenclive Beaumont, Bjorn Delphin, Donald Feld, Phillip Dollinger & Seth Diabolito, for yet another fantastic show.

Rez Days Party

It was a hot party for our residents that were rezzed in the month of November at E-co. Our very own DJ/Heartthrob Azu Catteneo kept the crowd going wild with his hot tunes. Many more happy rez days to Adian, AddisonLynn, Alesha, Andre, Beck, Bjorn, Bray, Briawinde, Brienna, Coulton, Fesama, Geko, Jeff, Lach, Lord, L0ki, Nisa, Oz, Primorse, Sura, Suzanne & Thorr.

Engagement Party

Butch Pinion and Sienna Charman, one of our lovely couples, had their engagement party at the Nuptial Park. The big day is scheduled for December 5th 2009. I would like to wish them much happiness on behalf of all of us.

Upcoming Events

December is going to be a month full of fabulous events, make sure to attend as many as you can since we promise you we will close 2009 with a bang!

Costa Rica Sims Designers Showcase

This will be the biggest show of the year featuring the Best of 2009. It will be held on December 12th at 12 noon SLT.  This is one show you don’t want to miss. Our fabulous designers will present the creations they considered their best work of 2009. We moved the show this month because on December 18th we are all invited to attend the Miss Virtual World 2010.

Miss Virtual World 2010

Our fabulous Miss Costa Rica Sims 2009, Miss Nisa Constantine will be competing along with 21 beautiful ladies for this year's crown. This pageant is without a doubt the most important beauty pageant in all SL™.

We are proud to say that two more residents are also finalists in the Miss Virtual World. Miss Devine Hunt will be representing Bahamas and Miss Dancer Dallagio will be representing Ireland. This is clear proof that even after 26 months of operations the Costa Rica Sims Estate is the top choice for the most beautiful and talented residents in SL™.

Costa Rica Sims Executive Team 2nd Annual Winter Ball

The Costa Rica Sims Executive Team 2nd Annual Winter Ball is a very special event where we pay tribute to our residents for making the estate the most beautiful place to live in all Second Life®. It will be held Sunday, December 20th at 1:00 PM SLT at our Opera House. Just like last year, Miss Coda Cazalet will pamper us with her beautiful selections of songs and magnificent voice.
