Welcome to our New Website

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Executive Team I would like to welcome you to our new website. Recently, Linden Lab placed some trademark restrictions on the SL name, so we were forced to change our domain. Even so, it gave us the opportunity to bring you a more beautiful and informative website.

Before I continue, I would like to thank our dear resident, and my friend, DzinWiz Babii for creating such beautiful webpages. Please be kind enough and send her an IM thanking her for her hard work and patience.

My eternal gratitude goes to the entire staff for believing in this project.

There are some cool new offerings on the website.

1- Now you can read the latest Second Life blogs by going to the "SL Official Blog News" tab.

2- The "Residents Help" tab answers a lot of the questions we all have at some point. A huge round of applause to our friends at the Irukandji Estate, especially to its owner Xay Tomsen for providing much of the information.

3- The "Latest News" tab will keep you informed of future events and last minute news.

4- The Blog, here you will see posts from the different staff members.

5- The "Community" tab: this idea came about when someone was asking me about our residents, and thought it would be a great idea to interview our residents so all the others can get a little peek inside their homes, lives and experiences around our estate. We decided to call it, ¨At Home With¨. It will be a regular publication, so get ready to clean up those closets because your time will come!

Now, I would like to share with you some important news that some of you may already know...

Linden Lab's have decided to lower the price on the new island purchases. This means any future islands we order and subdivide will have lower parcel prices. The price we are contemplating currently is 29K for a 4096 sq. m. lot.

There have been rumors around SL´s recent decisions, since CEO, Phillip Rosedale, announced he was stepping down last march. Some of those rumors are that the maintenance fee or tiers will increase, according to many, Linden Lab will not raise the fees for the remaining of 2008. If they do decide to increase tiers, we are hoping they will respect the old tier for previous islands like they did in the past. We will keep you posted.

Also, I would to express how touched Rawly and I were for the surprise party. Trust me when I say it was a total surprise, I thought I pretty much knew everything that happened around our estate, but boy was I wrong! That day will remain in our hearts as one of the highlights here in SL, and it will make us work even harder for you guys! Thanks!

And finally, some of you may already know that I became partnered recently.  Yeah Yeah, I know many have heard me in the past saying, ¨I would never, that´s not for me, that´s just eeek, this is just business and fun¨, and the list goes on and on.  Well I was proven wrong again! SL hasn't stopped amazing me yet, even after nine months.  This virtual world has recently gave me the chance to explore a whole new side, by meeting this incredible person.  Ryker has shown me a totally different side of SL, and someone even told me the other day (not gonna mention the name) that I dont "GRRRRRRRR" as often since he came into my life.  It´s funny how SL can feel and look like RL.  You just need to be at a specific place and without even knowing it that special person is also there.  I have to thank Harmonica for hooking us up...well, kinda.  (Love ya baby, you are the best girlfriend a gay guy could have).  To all of you who sent us best wishes we would like to thank you and to remind you that our home is always open for you guys.
