September's Estate Status Report

Hola Everyone,

So our beautiful estate is officially 2 years old! Let's recap all the things that happened during the past month shall we?
The End of Cocos Island Second Life®
It is with great sadness that I am announcing Cocos Island in Second Life® no longer exists. Many of you know Cocos Island was brought to Second Life® by the Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT) as a way to create awareness to the new 7 wonders of nature campaign. Once the campaign was over this past July, the board decided it was no longer needed. We tried countless times to explain all the benefits their presence in SL™ would bring for Costa Rica tourism at a very low monthly investment, but alas they still terminated the project. I have to say that too much bureaucracy is something that stop countries from moving forward and this definitely played a hand in the demise of this project.
Costa Rica Sims in Local Financial Newspaper
I had the honor of being interviewed by a local financial newspaper here in Costa Rica. This newspaper is considered the Wall Street Journal of Costa Rica, so it was quite an honor to be given that opportunity. You can read the interview in Spanish hehe here.
Land Sales
Sales remained steady with last month and the estate remains at 98.2% occupancy. We just added a new full region, Playa Flamingo, in the northern part of our estate, so make sure to tell your friends.

Events
What an exciting month September was, so many events. I will let our estate blogger Mr. Phantom Republic do the honors and recap the 4 days celebration of our 2nd anniversary events, just in the day and read about the events hosted that day.
I want to congratulate our new Miss Costa Rica Sims 2010, Miss Nisa Constantine, and wish her luck in the Miss Virtual World. This year’s pageant was the best so far, competition was really tight and all of the ladies did a wonderful job.

Great party at our new Club E-co. It is incredible what a huge difference a good DJ can make when creating the perfect party atmosphere. If you haven’t visited our new club, I urge you to do it, many people are calling it the best club in all Second Life already. Many more happy rezz days to our September residents: Carley, Ethaniel, Gertude, Jackson, Jimi, Jena, Joseph, Indiana, Katerina, Larisa, Marian, Nick, RichardW, Rory, Ryne, Shae , Siena & Traci.

In an estate like ours where beauty and love can be found all over, it was time to add to our amenities a beautiful and romantic spot where residents can celebrate their Second Life weddings. Leatherback Turtle Campaign
In the month of September, we raised L$5,400 for this noble cause. So there you have it, a month full of events and our estate is now officially 2 years old.  Yay! I cannot thank the residents of the Costa Rica Sims enough for being the reason we now have the most beautiful private estate in all Second Life and look forward to continual growth together.
