Hola Everyone,
The month of our 2nd anniversary has finally arrived and to top if off we surpassed the 60 sim mark a couple of weeks ago!
I am sure many of you are not aware of the numerous estates that disappear from Second Life on a daily basis. It is my responsibility to you, the residents, to monitor how the real estate market is behaving in Second Life and how other estates, even those we consider distant competitors, are performing.
Two years have passed since the first Costa Rica Sims region came online. Today our estate is over 4,000,000 sqm and keeps growing every month. It is because of you, the residents, who are the real owners of the Costa Rica Sims, that our estate has remained at 98% occupancy since its beginning. Of course, one must also mention having a well crafted plan before even the first sim was ordered, a talented group of people as part of the Executive Team who are specialists in their fields, and an understanding the market has contributed to the overall success of the project.
I hope to see all of you at the different events we have put together for our 2nd anniversary. Additionally, I would like to thank each and everyone who was involved in creating this great celebration, especially our coordinators, partners, sponsors and judges. You can see all banners for the events on our flickr
I would like also to thank our Miss Costa Rica Sims 2009, Miss Maxie Daviau, for all the great things she did as Miss Costa Rica Sims and of course I want to wish all the luck to the ladies competing in this year’s pageant.
Now let us recap what happened within our estate in the month of August:
Land Sales
Land sales were steady during the past month with over 50 new residents moving to the estate. We added 1 homestead that was sold immediately in the first weeks of August and 1 full region, Bahia Brasilito, the last week of August and it's already over 65% sold. Before ordering our latest, full region the estate was at 99% occupancy.
Events
Once again our partners and friends from Rancho Pacifico Resort & Club E-co came up with some wonderful and innovative events. During this past month E-co Club hosted a fundraiser for the Help a Hero Call Home Operation UPLINK. They were able to raise 230,000L$ for this worthy cause. And September will bring a HUGE surprise for all E-co Elementalists, so just wait and see...
Rezzdays Party
This was a great party! Residents and friends got a chance to get to know the 9 most beautiful women of the estate competing for the Miss Costa Rica Sims 2010 crown. I heard some even got some not too decent proposals at the party. LOL If you want to read Phantom's review of the party visit our event tab.
I would like to wish many more happy rezzdays to our September residents: Alba, Alexandros, Chalis, Dales, Dashiel, Elijah, James, Kent, Maurice, Neo, Raptor, Sara, Stokely, Suzaine & Yuli.
Wedding
Another beautiful couple celebrated that special moment. This time we had Mr.Chopin Woodrunner and Mr. Grega Markste commemorating this special ceremony at their beach estate. On behalf of all of us here, I wish them much happiness.

It bring me great joy to announce two new partnerships:

Many of you know already about the creation of the Ad Astra Costa Rica Sailboat by Juli Gothly. This beautiful boat is now the official sailboat for the Costa Rica Sims and new residents will get it as part of the welcome bag. You can read more about it in a previous blog posted by Phantom Republic.
Miss Costa Rica Sims Jewels
Gotta hand it to Harmonica Aabye, one of the most beautiful women in our estate, to find someone who will be willing to design an entire set of jewels for us. Caithlin Carter, designer and owner of CCD, has created the Miss Costa Rica Sims official line of jewels. Want to learn more about this talented designer? Phantom spent some quality time with Caithlin, you can read about it by checking our fashion section.
