People love to sail in Second Life, and although my friend and fellow blogger Fiona Haworth has publicly blogged that she's no expert at this hobby, it's something that she along with hundreds if not thousands of others enjoy while exploring sims and horizons in our virtual world.

In fact, it's popular enough that other estates have been built around this fun pasttime, a recreation that Costa Rica Sims has always had as part its roster of offerings for residents and visitors on our own growing "continent." In addition to the 1st Annual Costa Rica Sims Regatta that CRS is holding in mid-September as part of the 2nd anniversary of the Estate, Giancarlo Takacs has assured me of his desire for Costa Rica Sims to fully embrace the SL sailing community (the Regatta features L$100,000 in prize money, and is a partnership with ACA management team).
One way Costa Rica Sims is promoting this is by working with Juli Gothly of Juli Designs who has designed a limited edition boat, the "Ad Astra Costa Rica" that will be given to all new residents of Costa Rica ... which will be a great way to explore this place many of us call home. Juli will be setting up shop soon here in Costa Rica, where this boat may also be purchased by everyone else!
To celebrate this new venture, I'm giving out five of these boats ... to the first five CSR residents who meet me in-world!
With virtually all parcels accessable to waterways and oceanfront, and with over 2 million square meters of water throughout all the entire sim complex, Costa Rica Sims welcomes SL's sailing community with open arms! Come see why some sailors already prefer Costa Rica Sims!
Happy sailing!
