Hello Ladies of Costa Rica,

 

When the idea of creating a group for the ladies of our estate was presented to me a few of months ago, the plan was to have a group were the female residents, who comprise 65% of our estate, would have opportunities to meet, build friendships, exchange ideas, learn from one another about the different cultures they come from, and finally to do all that while enjoying what your SL home has to offer.

 

No other estate in SL gives as much as ours when it comes to places to explore and learn and events to attend, where you can meet all the wonderful residents that come from over 40 different countries around the world to unite in 1 place.

 

Because we cherish what you bring to the estate, we are going to give a fresher look to the group. A couple of days ago it was announced that the group was going to disband. This was just a wrong use of words. At no point did we consider disbanding the group. Instead, we were just changing the board of directors. To the previous members of the board, I would like to thank them for their hard work.

 

The new board will have 3 members for the meantime.  Two of those members are also part of the Executive Team, Isobel Desantis and Olyvia Zenovka. The New Chairperson of the Board (COB) will be Shelby Robbiani. I cannot be happier to have such a talented person leading the group. Leading a group is no easy task, but the new COB understands what the group needs and possesses a vision to execute those needs.

 

Shelby Robbiani came to our estate like many of you did. She was attracted by its beauty and fell in love with our estate a year and a half ago when she was looking for a new home for her business, Shelby's World Marina. Ultimately, the Marina did not move to our estate but Shelby did. Shelby is a model and can be seen weekly on the MODA Spotlight Show filmed live and shown on SL Cable and on the internet every Monday night. MODA Spotlight features a new designer every week and gives SL residents the opportunity to see how the designs will look as they are worn.  Shelby has been involved in modeling and the fashion industry in SL for two years and is also a budding photographer. With not even 24 hours in her new position, she has provided the Executive Team with some really good ideas for the group. During these first weeks, we will start planning the events you ladies will enjoy on a monthly basis. 

 

Olyvia Zenovka is a part of the Executive Team as our Estate Journalist. She is also responsible for keeping us up-to-date on the latest fashion trends on her blog, Fashion Confessions, which can be found on our website. She is currently working on a directory of resources for the Ladies group. In this directory, ladies will have the opportunity to find the best of the best for everything a lady needs in SL. From hair to eyes to clothes, it will give you the tools to find specific items you need.

 

Isobel Desantis is also a member of the Executive Team and a Resident Liaison. As you may know, our resident liaisons give guided tours of the different amenities around our estate. Isobel is available to give private tours to group members, so if any of you ladies would like an appointment please contact her. In addition, she is also a talented builder and would be happy to answer any questions you may have about building in SL.

 

We already have a couple of events in the making that we hope you will attend. The board of directors will work hard into making things happen for the group, but of course we also need your support. I hope to see you get involved by attending the events. Also, the board will always be there for your input, so if you would like something happen or have a great idea just contact one of the members of the board.

 

Many good things are coming your way. As you know, the Miss Costa Rica Sims Pageant will be in September. This is a great event for you to enter and we will have more details soon. Additionally, we just opened yet another romantic spot within our estate, La Tortuga Feliz Cafe, a seaside dining spot to take that special someone for a date.

 

So that is it. You are the core of our estate and as always, we will work hard so you ladies can have the best SL experience possible. I wish the best to the new board and expect nothing but the best as well. As always, they will have all the help needed from the Executive Team.
