An old Arabian Proverb reminds us, “A friend is one to whom one can pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keeping what is worth keeping, and, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away.”  It is with this friendship and spirit of Community that the Costa Rica Sims joined together on Saturday to celebrate the Rezdays of the many residents who arrived in Second Life during the month of June.  

Residents and friends traveled the deserts, the sweeping sand dunes that spanned the width of the horizon, to brave the elements in an oasis that was simply paradise.  Once again, we were able to experience a realistic build that proved just how truly lucky we are that we have the amazing talents of Costa Rica Sims’ Estate Manager Rawly Rousellot.  Palm trees swayed to the beat of the music, an almost hypnotic sight, as people arrived to be treated like kings on a dance floor.

The costumes of the evening were so amazing, with Sheiks, dancing girls, desert warriors and a plethora of other costumes that made the afternoon a treat for the eyes as well as the imaginations, while the atmosphere made it easy to imagine yourself swept away into the land of fairytales.

The warm Summer desert evening was charged with an electric feeling as Costa Rica Sims’ own DJ Azu spun tunes that kept the energy flowing.  Bodies writhed to the steady thump of his beats, as the warm breeze perfumed the air with the scent of the sea.  Casual conversation, lingering laughs, and a general good time left everyone in a fantastic mood while they anticipate the next Rezday Celebration.  It’s hard to imagine what could top this day, but there’s little doubt that July will see an equally amazing celebration.  Until then, Happy Rezday June Arrivals!
