On Saturday, May 30, Costa Rican residents celebrated the annual Rez-day party for residents who arrived within this Second Life during the month of May. Once again, we were overwhelmed by the congregation of friends and residents as the theme was set to give us “electrifyin’ chills.”

Loading up on the bus, we were delivered before the first bell just in time to attend classes at Rydell High School next to Sandy Dumbrowski, Betty Rizzo, while gaping at the likes of Danny Zuko and the rest of the fellas. In an amazing build by Costa Rica Estate Manager Rawly Rousellot, the setting was forged right out of the original movie, allowing all party attendants to live vicariously while dressed in costume to impersonate their favorite character.

What would a party be without fantastic music. Not only did Costa Rica’s Number One DJ spin his classic mix and Latin and electro dance music, but he strayed from the norm to let us know that “Rock N’ Roll is Here to Stay.” If you love the music from this classic musical, Azu certainly didn’t let down the masses, ensuring that the “Summer Nights” were filled with the catchy show tunes that had everyone humming along to the music.

For those of you who were unable to attend, we assure you all that we will shed tears on our pillows! It was a fantastic party with great friends, music, and fun. I know I certainly can’t wait for next month. I’m anxious to see what the next theme will be!

Hasta La Paroxima!
