Bjorn Delphin Crowned Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2009

Anticipation had been building for weeks, as the contestants for the Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2009 went through endless rehearsals to perfect their walks, looks, and poise.  All of their work, was about to pay off, in one crowning moment as they competed on the Event Sim to become the very first Mr. Costa Rica Sims.  All others would be compared to him.  All in one single moment in time that was about to happen before the gathered masses of  residents, friends, press…and the judges.

As the nerves began to become almost audible, the grand host and hostess took to the stage.  After Olyvia nearly deafened everyone just to ensure that they were still awake, the events were underway.  The men who had worked so long and hard were about to take the stage in the selection of swimwear from GetButch, one of the talented design houses located within the commercial district.  The gentlemen sported their swimwear, while the hosts spoke of their ambitions regarding the Costa Rica Sims.  Each revealing why they had entered this competition, until each finalist was brought back on stage for the announcement of Mr. Photogenic.  Aspen Parx, from his photo submitted at the beginning of the competition, was selected as Mr. Photogenic, winning a total of ten thousand linden in a cash prize!

We began this journey with a total of nine contestants.  However, in the end only three proved to have the fortitude as well as the needed time to be able to complete the entirety of the competition.   Three very different men, all with very different personalities and tremendous talent.  Allowing us to see a different side to the contestants, Clyde Saunders (Pageant Director) had organized a casual clothing challenge.  The gentlemen were given a list of different contest supporters that would help them with this task, providing the desired clothing choices that would make up the complete ensemble.

After contestants had chosen their looks, they would wear them for their second run on the stage.  All the while, we were given different little known facts about them.  Not only did this help us to gather greater insight into their personalities, but it helped to see how each men would represent the Costa Rica Sims for their reigning year should they be chosen as the Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2009.  First, though, it was time to announce Mr. Congeniality who also won a cash prize of ten thousand linden.  Even though the competition was so tight, it was a very easy choice for Mr. Congeniality, in Punisher Skall.

As the pageant began to wind down, and the men prepared their formal looks, we were introduced to the judges as well as the enormous prize package the ultimate winner would be receiving.  Other than being named as one of the finalists in the Mr. Virtual world competition, Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2009 was about to receive over eighty thousand linden in cash and total prizes.  With the stakes so high, you would think that the men would be shaking in their shoes, however as each took to the stage and answered their questions from the judges, you would never have guessed any nerves at all.  Each of our finalists proved their poise and charm, responding to the tough questions asked with the charm of seasoned professionals.  As the judges deliberated, Giancarlo and Olyvia entertained the crowd by recanting the very long list of sponsors and prizes, as well as speaking of some of the fantastic amenities of the Costa Rica Sims.

Final judgment was lingering on the lips of the hosts as they announced the first runner up, Punisher Skall.  Ultimately, though, it was Bjorn’s night, as Bjorn Delphin was crowned Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2009.  It is with great pride that we once again thank all of the contestants, judges, and sponsors of the competition.   Due to your tireless efforts, we had a weekend of excitement and a new source of pride to represent us all at the Mr. Virtual World 2009 Pageant.  Please join me in bidding a heart felt congratulations to our Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2009, Bjorn Delphin.
