That question always cracks me up, The answer is always "yes!" While the construction of the commerical areas may look finished, there are zillions of eensy teensy details that need attending to, ones that require a tedious effort and eat up my time.
I am currently working on the headquarters buildings for the Modavia Modelling Agency. This building represents the largest building in the town square, aside from the church, and is being styled with elements that are distinctly Costa Rican. While it is not an exact replica of pictures that I have been given, it does capture the essence of what characterizes a very large historic building in RL Costa Rica.
Once the Modavia building is completed, I will be tending to all those little things that need to be done, such as working on the roads and sidewalks, updating the landscaping to keep it interesting, inspecting the boutiques to ensure that "prim drift" is being kept under control, and making sure the buildings age gracefully, by updating textures or making little changes here and there.
The park, as it is now, is a beautiful place, and I constantly hear people telling me how much they enjoy the space. We are hoping to add a replica of RL Costa Rica's "Templo De Musica" to the park. This is a large gazebo-like structure that is used for outdoor concerts and other large group events, so having this iconic structure in our virtual Costa Rica is something we feel is important. I also want to build a new church, one that is more distinctly Costa Rican, and not European like the existing church. Once the new church and the Templo are completed the park will be finished.
Not all of the commercial areas of Costa Rica are to be historically inspired, boutique-sized shops. The goal is to have a capital city of San Jose, and to have it be more representative of the modern RL Costa Rica. We have already started the roadway leading to the capital sim, which starts at the southeast corner of the town square, in front of the Jeepers Creepers store.
Lining the roadway leading from the historic district to the modern city will be large, flagship-sized stores for designers who want to be able to offer more than they can in the boutiques. So far, we have Jeepers Creepers, Kal Rau, and Emery starting off the "flagship line-up", and every day we receive inquiries from designers about having a store in Costa Rica.
Design and construction evolves very quickly in SL, and Costa Rica is always at the top of the pack. In addition to all these changes, I am also keeping in mind that the horse farm will need to be redesigned and rebuilt, hopefully to include a greenhouse and nursery, and the clubhouse needs to be replaced with something more practical and useful. All of this work is to achieve but one goal, and that is to make the virtual experience of all Costa Rica residents and visitors be the very best that it can be.
