We all know that quote “The only constant is change... ” So it is with a hint of sadness that we bid our current Director of productions Clyde Saunders farewell but happily welcome Roe Woodford in his place. It was my privilege to talk to the two of them about their transitions.
Thank you to the both of you for taking the time to get together.
Clyde remind us who or what brought you to the Costa Rica Sims?
I came to the Costa Rica Sims in May 2008, after Giancarlo Takacs took me on an extensive tour of all the amenities that were offered at the time.

What has living and working on the Costa Rica Sims meant to you?
It has been a worthwhile experience. I have enjoyed my role within the Costa Rica Sims Executive Team as the Productions Director, which initially started in August 2009, and reprised again in April 2011.
What are you off to do?
I am a student in RL and have classes resuming on September 21st. Therefore, my time spent in-world will be more limited and I will not be able to commit the necessary time and effort needed to perform the duties as Costa Rica Sims Productions Director.

Clyde does that mean you are you leaving SL permanently?
No, I am not leaving SL permanently. I still have several in-world commitments to fulfill and projects to manage, which will keep me as an active member of the Second Life community.
Do you have any advice for Roe as you leave?
I do not have advice for Roe, however, I do just want her to know that I will always be an available resource to assist her when needed. I have been working with her over the last several weeks preparing her for this position and trust that she will do a great job. She is hard-working and will implement her own uniqueness into upcoming fashion shows and events.

Roe arrived in SL in March of 2009 and she has been intrigued with the fashion industry since day one! Roe says I went in to a store and saw vendor models and I was hooked! I spent the first year of my SL attending modeling academies. I worked hard on my craft and I have had some really exciting times, I'm still on my journey.

Roe what initially brought you to the Costa Rica Sims?
I learned of CRS by searching for a place to sail. Once I realized that they were residential sims I HAD to live here :) Once becoming a resident of CRS I discovered that it was the perfect place for a model to live, amazing shopping and many wonderful designers and models reside here as well. I’ve been here over a year and I still love it so much.
What has living on the Costa Rica Sims meant to you?
“Costa Rica for me means community. I have referred many residents to live here, simply because they visited my home and decided they wanted to live here too. But more than Costa Rica is beautiful, its friendly and the residents are great. ”
How will you approach the Director of Productions position?
To be offered an opportunity to work with some of the very best models on the grid in a place where I call home is truly an honor. I will be dedicated to my responsibilities as a Director of CRSP and will approach my position with vigor and passion to help CRSP continue to grow and flourish. I'm proud to be a part of CRSP and I'm excited to begin this new journey in the SL Fashion industry.

Clyde concluded by saying:
“I wish Roe Woodford the best of luck as she takes over the position as Costa Rica Sims Productions Director!”
As do we all Roe, we look forward to the upcoming productions under your direction. Clyde, we wish you all the very best with your continued studies.
