We are always grateful and proud when residents choose to add The Costa Rica Sims to their profiles, specifically in their “Picks” section, after all this is your home. But as you travel around SL, there are many people who enjoy reading your profile and picks. However, any pick you add to your profile includes a landmark associated with it. This landmark is created in the location you are standing when you add a respective pick. If you create a new pick while in your home or on your parcel, you are inadvertently advertising in your picks where you live.

In order to maintain the privacy of our residents and their homes, The Executive Team recommends that residents use the shopping district as the location to add new picks related to Costa Rica and not add picks in your homes if you are concerned about privacy.

In order to do this, merely go to the shopping district, open your picks, select the pick you want to change, and click "set location." The only thing that will change is the teleport landing point for that pick, and not any of the information you want to display about Costa Rica.

This is one of many steps to ensure that unwanted visitors do not come to your home without being invited.
