Hello everyone. As our estate grows, so does our Executive Team. In order for us to continue providing you with the best level of service, we have welcomed a new Estate Manager to Costa Rica Sims.
Today I’m here at the home of Michael Dale, Costa Rica Sims newest Estate Manager. Hello Michael on behalf of the Costa Rica Sims community I would like to welcome you to the Executive Team. And thank you for allowing me to dig into your life!
So let’s start. I see you have been a Second Life® resident just shy of 5 years now. Could you tell me a little about your first experiences in-world and how you have seen the platform evolve through the years?
Michael: I don't remember what initially drove me to become a neko but it did not reflect my real life persona, and lately I've been moving away from the neko thing. I don't think I can be classified as anything (sane) really.
How did you discover Costa Rica Sims and what was your first reaction to everything that we offer?
Michael: One of my best friends told me about Costa Rica Sims and brought me here. I love sun, water, beaches and palm trees (I'm crazy about palm trees!). We took the hovercraft tour, which was just awesome!
Now, as an estate manager what can our community expect that you will bring to the estate as a whole?
Michael: Weeeellll... First of all, support during European times when the rest of the team is sleeping. Also, I hope that being fluent in 3 languages (German, Dutch and English), will help the Executive Team with residents that are not fluid in English :D
Where are you located in the real life? And what times will you be in-world to assist our residents?
Michael: I'm in the Netherlands. I can usually be reached from 3AM SLT to 6PM SLT, though this may vary slightly as I'm quirky with my sleeping patterns.
Ok…lets get a little personal”! So……I see your are gay, and I understand that at one point you were in a long term relationship here in Second Life®. What do you see as the biggest challenges for a SL™ relationship?
Michael: The fact that you can't physically reach out to your loved one and feel them.
I hope that was not TOO personal! Is there anyone who currently “catches your eye” in SL?
Michael: A lot of things do. I have to admit ;)
And finally, I would like to ask you, what do you feel is your biggest challenge as one of the Estate Manager for a project like Costa Rica Sims?
Michael: The sheer size of the community is an overwhelming thought. If you find me someday passed out inside one of our jungles it's not because I was drunk but because that day was too much for me. Just kidding :D
Well Michael, thank you so very much for taking the time from your busy schedule to sit down with me. I personally want to welcome you to our community and the Executive Team. I also look forward working with you closely *winks*
Until next time,
Brendan Macarthur
