May at Costa Rica Sims was a fashion fueled full power month! Fashion shows, charity events and grand re-openings filled the month of May with lots of fun for Costa Rica Sims residents and friends.

The month was kicked off with the Prim Perfect’s 4th Anniversary and Grand Re-opening of their new headquarters. The new build is beautiful and the event was filled with multiple performances and lots of dancing and socializing. Saffia Widdershins hosted a beautiful get together and I know all of Costa Rica Sims wishes her continued success!

The May Costa Rica Ladies Society Friendship Ball was a Southern Mother’s Day you won’t forget, celebrating the Mom’s out there with a Kentucky Derby themed event! The hats the horses magnificent! If you are not familiar with the Kentucky Derby let me fill you in briefly here: The Kentucky Derby is a Grade I stakes race for three-year-old Thoroughbred horses, held annually in Louisville, Kentucky, United States on the first Saturday in May, capping the two-week-long Kentucky Derby Festival. The race is one and a quarter mile (2 km) at Churchill Downs. Colts and geldings carry 126 pounds (57.2 kg) and fillies 121 pounds (54.9 kg) The race is known in the United States as "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports" or "The Fastest Two Minutes in Sports" for its approximate duration, and is also called "The Run for the Roses" for the blanket of roses draped over the winner. Fashion wise it’s known for the hats!

Next up was the Costa Rica Sims DJ Knockout! The DJ Knockout is one of Costa Rica’s most exciting events; DJ’s competing against each other for the title of Costa Rica Sims DJ winner. This month the competing DJ’s were DJ Iwasko Caminveci and DJ Booch Capelo. Our own DJ MikeeGemini kept things rolling and in the end DJ Wasko came out on top to take the title of Knockout DJ for the month of May.

Fashion took center stage when Costa Rica Sims Productions presented the SHIKI designer showcase. Hosted by AddisonLynn Blaisdale and Dj’d by Lincoln Garnet the show was a spectacular presentation of color and summer ready fashion. The Costa Rica Sims Models did a magnificent job on the runway and in case you missed it head down to the SHIKI showroom in the Costa Rica Sims Fashion District and pick up the hottest summer fashions for your Costa Rica Sims summer.

Pura Vida Wellness Resort (Pura Vida) is hosted a Weekend of HOPE for LUPUS, an event to raise awareness of the fight for a cure to Lupus and raise money for the Lupus Foundation of Mid-America South Chapter. In conjunction with Maritima Inc., Pura Vida has created ~~Fashion for Hope~~ an auction of exclusive items donated by many well-known designers. ALL PROCEEDS were donated directly to the Lupus Foundation. All the events were held at Pura Vida Wellness Resort located on the Costa Rica Sims. It was a wonderful charity event and while having a great time a good charity was supported what better way to get involved!

Costa Rica Sims went less tropical and totally urban for the May Rezz Days, subway cars, the feel of the urban jungle and you were transported to the edgy side of town. Costa Rica Sims DJ MIkeeGemini Ghost literally had everyone dancing in the streets. The May Rezz day babies know how to get to the nitty gritty of celebrating!

Costa Rica Sims Productions came back with another spectacular showcase featuring GIZZA. The designs were incredible, the models just breathtaking and the audience so impressed that I am sure they did their part to support the SL economy by rushing out to purchase the amazing designs that were presented.  The models did an impressive job and everyone got to spend some time watching Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2011 Pheonix Reyer hit the runway, I am sure the ladies have stopped drooling by now! Hostess AddisonLynn Blaisdale and show DJ Lincoln Garnet as usual did an awesome job!

The Costa Rica Sims May Influential event honoring the incredibly beautiful and just as nice Ms. Persia Bravin is one that won’t be forgotten for a very long time! I have never witnessed so many having such a good time! 65 avatars at one point putting the sim at full capacity and the party kept going strong! It was a fun filled beach event that celebrated and amazing woman!
