This pretty much describes the atmosphere of the Great Gatsby party at WK Ganesvoort's estate home this afternoon. In collaboration with PrimPerfect Magazine, the gathering was thrown to celebrate the Costa Rica Sims highlighted in the recent issue. If you haven't given it a read, please do when you have time. Here's the link. http://primperfectblog.wordpress.com/2010/08/26/join-us-and-celebrate-costa-rica-with-prim-perfect/

Bless whatever angels kept me in world tonight and actually let me rezz for photos! I'm still in a bit of shock so forgive me. I arrived early, taking in the ultra decadent decor, WK's estate transformed into the 1920's ala Jazz Age complete with table settings, a classic yellow 1929 Primouth Praeton reminiscent of the Rolls Royce in the 1974 film, fountain and photographs of the film strategically placed. The effect was stunning and as guests arrived donning their best 20's garb, the festive background added to their excitement. I actually bumped into Gian and didn't realize it was even him! He looked so different in his twenties garb.
After a rousing set by DJ Syri, Miss Ceci Dover joined us and after a romantic beginning proceeded to heat the party up. With Foxtrot and Charleston dance balls scattered about, there was more than enough to keep everyone moving. Most memorable for me was Linus Lacombe who danced with several ladies and seemed to be enjoying himself so much it was even evident in his avatars face.
Many of our CR Finalist attended like redhairgenie Cabassoun, Emma Portillo, skylei Caproni and Dar Writer. I'm telling you, Costa Rica has some beautiful women and it was even more evident tonight as Italia Villota, Samantha Ohrberg, Tempest Hennesy and Reign Congrejo arrived making mouths drop and heads turn as they swept into the party. Tonight had to be one of the best parties we've had for outfits. Everyone really went all out and dressed the part. Even Dolci Woodget joined us dressed in an adorable flapper outfit complete with pistol in her garter.
Lastly we were joined by live musician Joaquin Gustav who carried the party along to its conclusion. More and more people arrived and I did crash once. The party was so popular that I couldn't get back in for thirty minutes LOL! When I did I saw that the PrimPerfect reporters, Tricia Aferdita and Rowan Derryth, had joined us and were cutting the rug to the music. I managed to snap a shot of Rowan lounging comfortably on the 1929 Primouth. Sorry I just couldn't resist.
As all good things often do, the party came to an end. It was packed the entire time and even after people were bid goodnight and stumbled out giddy, a few hung back and continued to sway to the soft guitar sounds. As I took a last look around the stately home, I realized that we'd all shared a really special evening. Not just the dancing, the outfits or the music, but the common experience everyone has of living in such a beautiful set of sims like Costa Rica and being able to enjoy evenings like this to the full. And that my friends, is priceless.

Also do not forget we are partying with Nisa Constantine, Miss Costa Rica Sims 2010 at the Influentials on Sunday at 12 noon slt. Can't wait to see you all there!

Keshi
