Yes you heard right. Costa Rica will be the official breedables provider and host a bunny festival every second Sunday of the month with Z Couture Bunnehs where you will be able to bid on and sell your own bred bunnies. I asked Z Couture Bunneh owner Zya Savira a few questions about the bunny biz.
Explain the bunneh phenomenon for those of us who don't know about this and may want to get involved?
Breedable pets in general are a real phenomenon. However the bunny's seem to be the cutest with little lag. Ozimals Company created these wonder bunny's and released them earlier this year. Z COUTURE BUNNEHS is merely a merchant for Ozimals, we are in no way affiliated directly with the company. The exciting part about this is the breeding. Bunnies come in all types of colors and can be bonded to one another. Once the stats for love, hunger, happy and energy have been met a nest will appear on the females back and within minutes you can hatch the nest and another artificially intelligent bunny appears. It is very exciting and the phenomenon has attracted people from all across the grid. DRs, Scientists, Graduate Students, Parents, you name it. Everyone seems interested in the artificial intelligence based bunnies that incorporate an irresistible cuteness.
A lot of people have had issues with lag and breeding on SL like the Sion chickens etc. Is that an issue for the Ozimal bunnies?
The chickens really were a nightmare and left a bad taste for a lot of people. Their idea was great but the scripting had a lot to be desired. The bunnies first of all are made by an entirely different company that made sure to keep the scripting low. Your dogs and cats are twice as many prims and run a lot higher scripts then the bunnies ever will. Thereupon you can expect these to run low lag. Our farm has over 600 LIVES and 450 nests and we experience some lag, and yet can hold auctions with 40 avatars easily. So unless you plan to own hundreds its not even something of concern. Explain a bit about how the auction works? Twice per week breeders and hobbyist bring a max of 2 bunnies each to auction. Our auction is custom designed with a red carpet themed upscale vent in mind. A professional auctioneer reads off and auctions the bunnies entered into the auction. An interested party turns in a premade note card after paying a Golden Bunny small entry fee on the podium they want reserved. Audience members bid in text chat as the auctioneer uses voice to entertain the audience and get people excited about bidding. The highest bidder wins, the bunny is marked for the sale price and the new owner takes it home. It becomes one really social event and everyone enjoys reconnecting twice per week. It's meant to be fun, not overly serious and our auctioneers don't rush through things at an auctioneers pace. 90% of our breeding stock was purchased from other residents. We invested a lot of time and money to help other residents and we feel the key to a successful business is by supporting other breeders and hobbyists. When you visit our farm you will notice the plethora of names in the owner line of each bunny. We rarely change the owners name to illustrate just how much we here at Z COUTURE BUNNEHS believe in supporting you, our friends. What sets your bunnies apart from some of the others on the grid? Z COUTURE BUNNEHS compliments the market by selectively breeding for certain traits and characteristics. We have one of the largest single owner live selections on the Grid. We like for our clients to have a 'what you see is what you get' experience. Meaning if you come looking for a Holland Lop White we are going to sell you one that has Holland Lop White parent/s. Rarely do we ever sell a bunny that comes from a less desirable breed and leave the guess work to you (i.e. you breed the bunny and you get a completely different breed as a baby). This will happen as recessive genes from grandparents and so forth can come through in any breeding and that's the fun of it all. However, we make a concerted effort to plan most of our breedings and tell each of our clients up front the lineage of the bunny they are purchasing. We have partnered with slbreedablepets.com which is the breed registry and most of our bunnies are registered there with pedigrees easily accessible. We also have a staff of five and two volunteers. With seven hearts and minds dedicated to your having a pleasant experience you can't go wrong. Most of us on staff breed animals in real life so we have first hand knowledge and practice it here in SL with breedable pets.
You can expect to see prices from 150L-60k each. Yes we have seen these bunnies go for up to 105k for one as they are a serious collectors dream. The rarer the bunny the more its value and that's what makes it fun too, you never know exactly whats going to pop out, and who knows you too may unhatch a rare or elite bunny.

What future animals can Costa Rica residents come to expect at the festival?
We are starting out with bunnies as they have the greatest stability. Don't be surprised to see breedable turtles soon. There are talks of breedable bears, kittens and a plethora of other pets but we will leave that surprise when they are ready to be released to the public.
Well folks, we're talking some serious bunny business here. I'm highly curious to see how this auction will unfold. After visiting the Z Couture Bunneh farm, I noticed that the bunnies don't just sit idle. They hop to get their food, sleep, even seem to socialize with one another. The variety was vast as well. Come join us this Sunday at 12 noon SLT in front of the Opera House at Alajuela to see the Costa Rica bunny invasion!
hippity hop,
